Don't Walk on the Grass is a spatial installation that examines how urban nature has become a designed image: managed, standardised, and applied to the city the way a texture is applied to a surface.
The work occupies a 2 × 2 × 2 m space. On the floor lies a printed lawn: a flat photographic image of urban grass, removed from its context and laid across the exhibition floor in its entirety. On top of it, paper bricks folded from sheets printed with UV-mapped textures sourced from Copenhagen's constructed urban landscapes are stacked and arranged as if construction has either just begun or just finished. The viewer stands at the edge. They cannot enter. They cannot touch.

That condition is the argument. Urban nature is not experienced. It is observed. The lawn in the city is not ecology but scenery: selected, placed, and maintained to produce a visual effect, in the same way that a texture is selected and applied to a three-dimensional model in 3D software. The installation makes that logic spatial and material. The printed floor is a texture map. The folded paper bricks are unwrapped objects, each one a six-sided form whose surface begins flat, receives its image as a graphic skin, and is then folded into the appearance of solidity.
